Overseas investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) have welcomed the launch of the latest report by the UK government on Pakistan’s intellectual property (IP) government through the British High Commission, which notes noted that the results are strongly reformed.

The report, developed by the UK’s intellectual property office and the Department of Business and Trade, highlights that IP Enforcement is one of Pakistan’s biggest challenges, with copyright piracy and trademark forgery, which will cost only Rs.

British Deputy Commissioner Karachi, Lance Dom, said: “Implementation of intellectual property rights issues for business confidence and economic growth. This report plays a way to strengthen Pakistan’s IP system through policy, technical assistance. The UK is helpful to create a better and more business environment.

OICCI Secretary General, M Abdul -Alam, added: “The search for the UK government’s report has confirmed the OICCI’s repeated reaction to deal with IP violations. Strong implementation is not just a legal matter. This is an important economic priority.

The report calls for a comprehensive, intelligence -led national IP implementation strategy, increasing public awareness and increasing public awareness to tackle the acceptance of fake goods. The OICCI reaffirms its preparations to cooperate with policy makers, enforcement agencies, and international partners to implement these measurements and enable the culture of innovation in Pakistan.
