Stakeholders believe that Pakistan’s freelancing community can increase its annual revenue by more than 1 billion thanks to the growing opportunities, institutional assistance and the development of digital ecosystem.
At the “AI -Borders Summit 2025”, held during the 26th ITCN Asia, operated by Invista in Karachi on Thursday, experts highlighted that the country’s freelancers are well -positioned by non -existent people, attracting global clinics, and attracting Pakistan as a destination. This progress has been attributed to the coordinated efforts of industry, government and financial institutions.
“Freelancers are the key players of Pakistan’s digital economy, who brings valuable foreign exchange, establish world trust in Pakistani skills, and create opportunities for their fellow youth and women,” said Ibrahim Amin, chairman of the Pakistan Free Lancers Association (PAFLA).
He added that Pakistan’s freelancing community is on the path to a major milestone, with annual revenue expecting $ 1 billion and increasing the number of freelancers by more than 2.3 million in the coming months.

In his keynote address, Tahir Malik, Project Director of Investa Indus, said that Invista is working to facilitate business capabilities among independent people across the country by helping various training programs, patronage and tax matters.
Invista has launched National Agent AI Hikathon, in which 1,000 participants from six cities have been invited. Malik said, “Our mission is to freely create a competitive and sustainable way of earning foreign exchange, which contributes directly to IT exports and livelihoods across the country.”

Pakistan is already one of the first five markets to make freelances worldwide, stakeholders believe that the sector will clearly help the sector in collaboration with policies, training, financial integration, and the Innovation Platform, with an innovation platform such as Invista.
