Now You Can Challenge Wrong E-Challans Online in Punjab
LAHORE – In a significant move to enhance citizen convenience, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has rolled out a digital complaint mechanism allowing residents to contest incorrect e-challans without physically visiting traffic police offices.
Under the newly launched system, motorists who believe they’ve been wrongly fined can now file their complaints via email. The process is easy and attracted little paperwork. Citizens can send an email to etclhr@psca.gop.pk along with the following details:
-
The e-challan notice in a clear original photo or computer scanned copy.
-
Vehicle registration number
-
A concise explanation outlining why the challan is being disputed
Upon receiving the email, the PSCA’s e-ticketing department will investigate the complaint. If the review confirms that the challan was issued in error, it will be officially cancelled and removed from the system.
According to PSCA representatives, this initiative is part of the authority’s broader strategy to digitize citizen services and reduce the burden on physical complaint centers. “This new system not only saves time but also makes the process transparent and accessible for everyone,” said a PSCA spokesperson.
General inquiries can be made to the helpline (+92)-42-9905-1605(08) and for other queries citizens can mail at info@psca.gop.pk.
The move has been welcomed by motorists and civil rights advocates alike, who see it as a progressive step towards streamlining traffic enforcement and reducing undue hassle for law-abiding citizens.
