Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has directed the authorities to rebuild and repair the damaged internal roads of Karachi, many of which were damaged during recent rains.
A directive was issued during a high level meeting headed by the Chief Minister to assess the city’s road conditions. The meeting was attended by provincial ministers Syed Nasir Shah, Saeed Ghani, and Jam Khan Shoro, mayor of Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Principal Secretary Agha Wasaf, Commissioner Karachi Hassan Naqvi, and local government secretary Wasimim.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the Mayor and the Local Government Department to complete a detailed survey of all the details of the details. He emphasized that both the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and the Town administration want to prepare reconstruction schemes under the supervision of the department.
Murad Ali Shah emphasized, “All entrance roads should be re -constructed or rebuilt.” “If the drainage facilities are available, the rain water will be easily flowed and the roads will not be damaged,” he said.
Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab told the meeting that a survey on KMC Roads was already underway, while the local government said the town administration was doing a similar diagnosis. Once completed, these results will be set up in schemes to submit CM for approval.
The Chief Minister also directed the local government to increase its efforts in Karachi to improve the overall condition of the city.
