According to Minister for Transport Sharjeel Memon, the Sindh government has confirmed that its expected pink taxi scheme for women will be officially launched in December.
Last week, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced that the provincial government would launch a punk taxi service soon.
Bilawal made this announcement while attending a ceremony in Karachi, where the government distributed free electric pink scooters to women.
In the event, he handed over the keys to the recipients, emphasizing that the project aims to facilitate the daily journey challenges of female students and working women.
Bilawal also highlighted the recent steps taken by the Sindh government, including the launch of the Benazir Green Card Scheme, which aims to help small farmers facing heavy losing during the recent floods.
