Following a new deal signed between the Dubai Power and Water Authority (DWA) and the Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) on Thursday, the Dubai 208 Ultra Fast Electric Vehicle is ready to expand its Green Mobility network with the installation of charging points.
In the first phase, two major charging centers will be developed – one at the DTC’s central depot near the Dubai International Airport and the other at its headquarters located in Lashna 4. Once working, these facilities are expected to reduce the Queens about 37.939 metric tones about 37.939.
The agreement was formally made during the 27th water, energy, technology, and Wetx, which was organized by Deva.
Deva Managing Director and CEO Saeed Mohammad Al Tier highlighted that Dubai now has more than 1,500 EV charging stations across the city, many of them have established with cooperation with public and private sector partners. He noted that Deva launched the EV Green Charger step in 2014 to meet the growing demand for power movement in the UAE.

Abdul Mohsin Ibrahim Kalbat, chairman of the Board of Directors in the DTC, added that the company is committed to turning 100 % of its fleet, including taxis and limousine, into electric vehicles, including taxis and limousine.
