Under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunications, the Agnet National Technology Fund has launched projects for the Women’s Innovation and Startup Empowerment Lab (Wise Lab).
Wise Lab is a dedicated platform for women -led startups in Pakistan. A formal application has been issued for the suggestions (RFP), demanding a request to set up a lab and arrange for them.
According to official documents, the lab will place 8,000 to 10,000 square feet of incubation in Islamabad, which will have a capacity of at least 20 startups at a time.
The program also includes training programs across Pakistan, which covers all provinces, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which reaches 200 women micro business people annually through physical boot campuses.
It is designed to deal with barriers such as limited access, digital expertise, and professional networks for women business people.
The Argnet also plans to set a professional team (through a selected prayer) to run the lab. The team will oversee the incubation cycles, facilitate business development, digital literacy, investment preparations and access to investors.
Every year, a maximum of five high -performing startups will be eligible for a grant of up to Rs. 2 million for scale operations.
The project is in line with the UN’s sustainable development goals and its promises, especially in promoting gender equality and comprehensive growth.
Only 24.5 % of women are active in labor force in Pakistan, and only 1 % of the business personality compared to 21 % of men.
Interested firms will have to collect technical and financial bids through the national e -procurement system by November 13, 2025. The final award will follow the quality and cost diagnosis method.
Women -led entrepreneurship will provide monitoring and funds to ensure measures in the measuring results. Agnight is already known to support Deep Tech, manage national incubation centers (NICS), and support the startup grant nationwide.
