In an important step in bilateral cooperation, Pakistan has presented its first batch of elements and critical minerals in the United States to US Strategic Metals (USSM).
The supply of Million 500 million partnerships has been identified in this supply, which is formally developed earlier this month, and indicates a new phase in the Pakistan-US strategic relations.
The milestone was observed by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and senior officials of both Islamabad and Washington, after signing the understanding of two memorandums (MUS) on September 8, 2025. Contracts have been compatible with US policy goals to diversify and secure the supply chain of important materials needed for national security, clean energy, and modern manufacturing.
Under the new framework, Pakistan and USSM will cooperate throughout the mineral value China, which will focus from exploration and benefits to production and the final establishment of refinery in Pakistan. The first shipment includes antimoni, copper attention, and rare earth elements, including neodium and paracedium.
For Pakistan, the partnership representation is enrolled in connection with the delivery of global minerals, which has the importance of income, employment creation, and technology transfer. Pakistan’s natural resources are estimated at around $ 6 trillion, making it one of the world’s largest holders of precious metals and extraordinary land minerals.
For the United States, this agreement provides a strategic safe guard, which helps to ensure the flexibility of major minerals for its defense, energy and high -tech sectors.
USSM CEO Stsi W. Hesty described this delivery “the first step of our exciting journey with the Frontier Works Organization of the United States, providing important minerals to the United States and strengthening economic trade and friendship between our two countries.”
