United Arab Emirates approved the first hospital -based vertebrate port for air ambulance services

The United Arab Emirates is ready to introduce its first hospital -based vertebrae port, which paved the way for air taxis and directly descends to avoid any medical facility, which allows patients to receive significant health care services within a few minutes.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 8, in the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in partnership with the Archer Aviation Inc.. The project includes converting the hospital’s existing helicopter into a dual -purpose platform that is capable of supporting traditional helicopters and electric vertical take -off and landing (EV toll) aircraft operations.

The vertebrae Port will allow passengers and medical teams to travel between the hospital and the nearby places in just minutes, which will significantly reduce travel hours compared to road transport. The service will meet both immediate medical operations, such as the transport of organs, and the transfer of non -emergency passengers.

Archer’s latest electric aircraft will be used for these operations at midnight. Designed to carry four passengers, offering a quiet and more eco -friendly alternative to conventional helicopters at midnight. Its cabin layout will help both medical and passenger transport mission.

After being operational, Archer will become the first company to launch flying taxi services in the United Arab Emirates.

The Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal earlier this year, after the approval of the hybrid verse port, indicates the expansion of the growing network of the hospital verse Port Archer. According to Archer’s Chief Growth and Infrastructure Officer Brian Bernard, the move represents a step toward “not only places, but also essential services that support life in Abu Dhabi.”

“After the approval of our first hybrid verse port in the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal, the new place has been highlighted how archer and GCAA are jointly creating environmental systems across the city for modern air movement.”

Abu Dhabi’s Cruise Terminal Test Flight

In June, Abu Dhabi successfully performed his first Eutiol Test flight at the cruise terminal helicopter. Pilot-lace two seterial etool aircraft, Ehang EH216-S completed a demonstration flight over Abu Dhabi Marina. The model, which is known as the world’s first certified autonomous eutole, features eight weapons, of which 16 propellers are operating with 32 electric cars, which ensures waste and safety.

Flight taxis to launch by the end of the year

Earlier, according to a Kharge Times report, Archer’s flying taxis are expected to start trade work in the United Arab Emirates by the end of 2025.

To support the rollout, Archer has contributed with the Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) for midnight plane test flights in the coming months. The cooperation also includes pilot training, flight work, and public engagement measures.

The midnight plane, designed for the pilot and four passengers, can perform faster, backward flights over the minimum charging time. It aims to reduce travel hours by 60-90 minutes to just 10-30 minutes by car between different Emirates.
