Pakistan Railway is planning to introduce a new shuttle train service connecting Lahore, Kasur and Pakpaton to improve regional connectivity and enhance passengers’ transportation options.
Proposed Lahore – Kasur – A feasibility report for the Pakapton Shuttle Service has been completed and the Railway Administration has been submitted for approval.
The report includes detailed reviews of technical and financial aspects of the route, such as track conditions, expected passing passengers, and detailed recovery costs.
Once the approval, the short distribution train will work through Kasur between Lahore and Papatan, which will offer cheap and reliable travel options for passengers, students and traders. The purpose of the new service is to reduce road crowds, reduce fuel costs, and resurrect small railway stations along the way.
