Pakistan will hold a maritime investment conference 2025 for the first time to promote the blue economy.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Mohammad Junaid Anwar Chowdhury announced these plans in a program to showcase major investment opportunities in the country’s maritime sector. Presiding over a high -level meeting on Wednesday, the Minister said the conference would highlight both micro and macro investment prospects for local and international investors.

He added that Pakistan’s blue economy and maritime infrastructure is to attract sustainable investment. The meeting reviewed the key details, including the date, location and theme of the next conference, which is the first child in Pakistan.

Officials agreed that the incident would serve as a strategic platform to keep the country as a regional center for maritime investment and innovation.

Participants also discussed the priority investment sectors, including port development, fisheries, maritime transport, shipbuilding, and coastal tourism, according to the national goals of economic diversity and sustainable growth.

One of the major things about the session was a comprehensive media and branding campaign to attract the participation of global investors, financial institutions, and development partners.

He emphasized that public and private cooperation would prove to be the key to living Pakistan’s maritime capability. He said the upcoming conference would identify an “important milestone” to advance the country’s blue economy and maritime development goals.

Minister Chaudhry directed the officials to finalize the investment proposals and the project for the process of diagnosing and approval of new projects in this sector and finalizing the standard templates.
