According to data released after the 114th meeting of the National Accounts Committee (NAC), Pakistan’s per capita income has increased to Rs 42,000 (annually 506,188 or 8 1.812).
The NAC reports that the economy has increased to 113.7 trillion ($ 407.2 billion) last year against Rs 105.2 trillion ($ 371.8 billion). The country’s GDP growth was recorded 3.04 %, which is slightly higher than the first estimate of 2.68 %.
Officials said the above review reflects the stable benefits in industrial production, services and agriculture, as well as better economic stability.
The increase in per capita income also indicates a gradual revenue in domestic income, which helps stabilize inflation and better energy supply. However, economists warned that despite the population growth, real income for citizens continues to restrict.
The government said it focuses on maintaining development through export diversity, financial reforms, and digital change, which aims to increase the quality of life and promote comprehensive economic progress.
