The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has completed a feasibility study for a modern Slaughter House project in Islamabad.
This is an important step towards promoting meat exports and meeting the city’s domestic demand.
The project will be developed under a joint venture (JV) model as part of the CDA’s broader CDA strategy to modernize capital and attract private investment.
The announcement was made during a meeting between CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa and a delegation of Saudi company Go Armco.
Senior CDA officials, including the planning and design of the members, Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Member Finance Tahir Naem, and the Deputy Director General (Resources), also attended the meeting.
Chairman Randhawa said that the Joint Venture Model is being introduced to promote investment and create a series of sustainable taxes for the authority.
He emphasized that all projects are being carried out in accordance with the rules of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) to ensure merit and transparency. During the debate, Armco’s delegation was written on the ongoing and upcoming CDA -led measures.
He was informed that several sites have been identified for possible investment, including fuel stations and infrastructure development projects throughout Islamabad. To move forward, special teams of both CDA and Go Armco were formed to initiate practical cooperation on potential joint ventures.
Chairman Randhawa confirmed the authority’s commitment to enhance infrastructure and urban facilities, saying that the private sector’s partnership is very important to accelerate Islamabad’s economic and development growth.
