The Tea Chowk flyover project has achieved a major milestone, with 100 % piles completed. Meanwhile, the grader casting has reached 84 %, and the construction of the protective wall is 60 %.

Home Minister Mohsen Naqvi has accelerated the pace of the project after special instructions to accelerate development works on one of the most important traffic roads in the capital.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, Mohammad Ali Randhawa, visited the T Chowk flyover site to review the ongoing construction progress. He expressed satisfaction over the speed and quality of the work and instructed the engineering teams to ensure strict completion in the approved timeline.

Randhawa directed that the project should not only measure structural standards but also be aesthetically pleasing, which emphasizes the need for a comprehensive landscape and horticulture project to be presented soon.

According to the Progress Briefing, the development work continues with construction teams, contractors and advisers, which is working 24/7 to meet the fixed goals. The Chairman of the CDA directed that beautiful LED lights be placed around the flyover permanently and cleanliness should be strictly maintained in the full parts.

He emphasized that every aspect of the project should reflect high quality construction standards. The chairman highlighted that fully, T -Chu flyover will provide signal -free transit not only to residents of the twin cities but also to passengers coming from Lahore and other parts of Punjab.

He added that the project is expected to reduce traffic crowds and travel time, which will facilitate daily travel between Islamabad, Rawalpindi and adjoining areas.

Randhawa instructed advisers and residential engineers to ensure timely completion and maintain international construction standards. During the visit, he was accompanied by CDA officers, project directors, consultants and contractors, as he reiterated that maintaining both pace and work quality under the ongoing development for Capital City is a top priority.
