Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Wednesday launched a special campaign to help government employees secure driving licenses. The drive, which will run from September 17 to 26, aims to provide assistance through the traffic offices as well as through mobile convenience vans.

He emphasized that accountability should start with government workers themselves before enforcing the laws on the general public. The ITP has directed its offices and resources to prefer the issuance of a license by the last date of the campaign.

However, some employees expressed concerns over the short timeframe. Hassan Mehmood, a federal activist, said it would be difficult for thousands of employees of the capital to issue a license in just nine days. Another employee, Nadeem, reported a long wait in the traffic offices and asked how the target would be achieved in this period.

The CTO urged the employees to immediately seek cooperation and licenses, warning that no exception would be made after the deadline.
