IT Exports


Pakistan’s IT exports reached 1 691 million in the first two months of the current financial year, which reflects a two-digit growth of 18 % over the same period last year.

According to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), $ 107 million was exported to IT during July August, which was $ 584 million in the same months of last year.

In August 2025, technology exports increased to 7 337 million, which increased by 13 % over the year but decreased by 5 % compared to July. The sector consisted of 50 % of the total exports of services during the month.

The sector has reported a steady growth in export receipts, which is supported by government initiatives and efforts to spread the traditional and new markets of IT companies. The Ministry of IT and Telecommunications (MOTT), in collaboration with the IT Association of Pakistan, has increased the participation of exporters at major tech trade fairs and road shows, especially in the United States, the UK, European countries and the GCC region.

Increasing arrival was also run by the Ministry and the Central Bank through the concessions and financial measures.

Analysts noted that months of export receipts should be between $ 400 million and $ 450 million to achieve the annual export target of $ 5 billion, which they believe is the leakage in the coming months.

The senior vice -chairman of P -Shaw Mohammed Umair Nizam said that Pakistan’s IT exporters are playing an important role in increasing the revenue of the industry and supporting the country’s current account. He emphasized that exporters, under the MOITT, are working extensively to strengthen economic stability, and called on the government to maintain auxiliary policies to achieve long -term development.

At the same time, the system highlighted that the IT industry is still facing many challenges, which should be resolved immediately for the pace of maintaining.
