In response to rising inflation, the Punjab government has approved high delivery compensation for vehicle registration documents -incorporations, smart cards and number plates.

The new rates are part of a three -year deal after talks with the Pakistan Post Office.

According to officials, the post office initially demanded an increase of more than 400 % in the delivery festival, which would have led to more than private courier services. However, the proposal was rejected by the Director General Excise and Taxation.

Under the revised structure, the following delivery compensation will apply:

  • Files: Rs. 100 (first Rs. 43)
  • Number plates: Rs. 90 (first 34 rupees)
  • Smart cards: Rs. 48 (first 27 rupees)

Summary of these latest allegations has been sent to the provincial government for final approval.
