The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications (MOITT) and Sindh IT Company (SITC), which is owned by the Government of India, have signed a memorandum (sleeve) to implement the digital economy (DED) project (DED) in Sindh. The agreement develops a framework for federal provincial cooperation to accelerate digital governance, improve services, and establish the United National Digital Economic System.
The sleeve was signed by the Additional Secretary, Mutt, and the CEO of Sindh IT Company, while IT Minister and Telecom Shaza Fatima witnessed the event. On this occasion, Minister SARS:
The move will not only improve the delivery of government and services, but will also create new opportunities for innovation and growth. I also want to thank the Special Investment Facility (SIFC) and pay tribute to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Under the sleeve, the Mighty will serve as a sponsoring agency, which will provide funding, technical expertise and policy assistance by monitoring the implementation of the project nationwide. Key measures include National Digital Services Portal, Pakistan Digital ID, Digital Walts, Pakistan Business Portal, and National Data Exchange Layers.
Sindh IT company will facilitate local implementation of deep components, which will work with provincial government agencies to integrate data, assist infrastructure and construct capacity. The purpose of this partnership is to enable digital change throughout Sindh and ensure that provincial stakeholders are in harmony with modern government tools.
Mutual cooperation is an important step towards pursuing Pakistan’s digital economy. By aligning national and provincial efforts, a deep effective, transparent and citizens will provide digital services that will bring long -term socio -economic benefits to the people of Sindh.
