The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced that two new electric bus routes will be introduced soon in Islamabad.
According to officials, the new routes will move from Karachi Company to Fizabad and Nellore to Khanapol, which will expand the existing network of 20 routes already offered by electric buses.
Currently, about 120 buses run daily, with about 60,000 passengers. Once the depot upgrade is completed and all 170 buses are deployed, the Daily Ridership is expected to cross 100,000.
Although the answer to this service has been positive, passengers have raised concerns about bus tracking. Unlike international practice, the CDA mobile app does not currently provide expected arrival hours.
Officials said that a request has been made Google That is to merge the bus hours into the app, which will soon become citizens to track buses in real time.
The CDA has also been advised to provide printed leaflets at airports, railway stations, bus stops, and shopping malls, as well as helping passengers more easily along the installation information board at bus stops.
