Intermediate Board Position Holders to get free electric bikes


Chairman of the Intermediate Board Karachi, Faqir Mohammad Lakhu, announced that the top students from the Government College in the city will be awarded the electric bike as part of the Prime Minister’s move.

In addition, Pakistan’s Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ICMA) has promised to give a thorough scholarship to the position holders, which has given them the opportunity to get further education.

A special event has been planned where the top students of the government colleges of Karachi, with their parents and notable honors, will be invited. Electric bikes already provided for the distribution will be handed over to the position holders during this program. According to officials, the program will continue by 2030 annually.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced a nationwide scheme to distribute electricity bikes to the outstanding students. The move is part of the government’s wider project to promote a power vehicle and make environmentally friendly transport accessible to the common people.

Under this scheme, 100,000 electric bikes, 3,000 electric rickshaws and loaders will be provided all over the country. The position holders of all educational boards will be eligible for the bike, while the unemployed will benefit from the distribution of rickshaws and loaders.
