“I want to assure every Pakistani that Saudi Arabia will stand with Pakistan,” Ambassador Maliki said on the 95th National Day of Saudi Arabia’s Kingdom. He recited a powerful verse of Pakistan’s national poet Allama Iqbal, demanding a Muslim unity in the protection of the great mosque of Makkah.

Recalling the hero of the 1974 Islamic Summit Conference in Lahore, the chairman emphasized that the spirit of Muslim unity continues to guide bilateral relations. He welcomed the recently signed strategic bilateral defense agreement between the two countries, calling it an important milestone that reinforces bilateral security cooperation.
Gilani confirmed Pakistan’s affiliation with Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, announcing: “Protecting the country of both sacred mosques is not just a duty – it is a sacred privilege and honor.”
He added that this defense agreement sends a strong message to the Muslim Ummah that unity and solidarity against modern challenges like extremism and Islamophobia remains the most effective shield.
On the economic front, the chairman highlighted the growing cooperation between the two countries in sectors such as investment, energy safety, economic growth and human development. He welcomed Saudi investment under the Vision 2030 framework, expressing confidence that bilateral economic relations are facing a “new and promising phase”.
Gilani also accepted the role of Pakistani Daspura in Saudi Arabia between the two countries.
He praised the Ambassador of Nawaf Bin that his commendable efforts to deepen bilateral relations in several fields said Pakistan and Pakistan appreciated his constant dedication to Saudi relations.
