Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz is ready to inaugurate a new electric public bus service in Rawalpindi on October 15, which introduced the option of modern, environmentally friendly, and affordable transport for Garrison City residents.
Talking to reporters, Malik Abrar Ahmed, president of the PML -N Rawalpindi Division, said that 87 air -conditioned electric buses would be prepared in four routes. The first route, running from Ravi to Carway Square, will begin in the early stages.
Malik Abrar, who is also headed by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly related to the Cabinet Secretariat, said the fare was RS. Students and senior citizens aged 60 and older will enjoy free travel.
He added that the new bus service will offer a dignity and effective fashion of transport while reducing the traffic crowd in the city. He said residents are expecting the project poorly, and viewed the project as a historic welfare initiative to improve daily travel and to enhance modern facilities to all citizens.
Highlighting CM Maryam Nawaz’s broader vision, Malik Abrar noted that since taking office, he made extensive reforms to increase the government, transparency and public services. He said that under his leadership, Punjab has made significant progress in education, health care, transport, employment, infrastructure and social welfare.
