Inspector General of Police Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon announced that the e -cheeting system will be formally resumed on October 27 for traffic violations in Karachi, which will identify a new phase in the city’s digital traffic management move.
Talking about the development, IG Memon said that the Safe City Program and the Traffic Police Department are jointly working on harmony to re -launch the technical programming and e -ticketing process.
He made it clear that manual challan operations have been temporarily stopped on a technical basis, as a 10 -year contract with the company provides challan machines and manages Fine Collection on September 30. He said, no new agreement has been signed, he said, adding that the harmony of the e -teching system under Safe City. The project is about to begin within weeks.
Memon added that when some dummy e -chels are being issued for testing purposes, they are not being sent to the citizens. “Even if the challan is not a problem for a few weeks, it doesn’t matter,” he said.
Following the inauguration of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, the e -chelalan system will be launched in Karachi without discrimination. The IG expressed confidence that the system would lead to a “visible deficiency” in traffic violations.
To resolve the sadness, Memon said the formation of a complaint committee should take over the concerns of citizens related to e -chelans for an SP, a DSP, and CPLC representative.
