The Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (PAK-APA) has announced a crackdown across the city on a smoke-out vehicle in the federal capital, from November 17, as part of a broader effort to prevent rising air pollution and smoke before winter.
The campaign will be jointly organized under the Islamabad Police, Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), and Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA), the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Harmony. Officials said that snap inspection and space -out tests will be conducted throughout the city, in which violators face penalties or fool their car.
Mohammad Saleem Sheikh, a spokesman for the Ministry of Climate Change, said health and environmental risks face health and environmental risks every year in the smog season. He emphasized, “It is a collective responsibility to protect yourself, your family and your environment from the harmful effects of air pollution and smog.”
The Pak -APA has set up static testing centers and mobile inspection units at key locations, including the old parade ground, F -9 Park, and D Chowk near Islamabad Expressway.
