The Punjab government has launched a mobile license van to facilitate the process of obtaining a driving license and facilitate the citizens.
The move, presented under the vision of the Chief Minister, aims to facilitate the doorsteps of the people. Officials said that specially manufactured mobile police stations and licensing vans will now be available in every district of Punjab, which will allow residents to apply or renew their licenses without visiting the offices.
DIG Traffic Mohammad Waqas Nazir explained that the van will also be dispatched to women’s colleges and universities. In the early stages, 33 vans were deployed, with an increase of 118.
SEVES to ensure maximum access to women, seven have been specifically specified for women’s applicants and will be painted pink color for easily identified.
Authorities believe that the new system will make the licensing process faster and efficient, especially for women, while also reduce pressure on existing licensing centers.
