Lahore's Orange Line Metro Train is set for Major Upgrade


Government of Punjab has long announced the start of proper repair and rehabilitation work on the Orange Line Metro train infrastructure. The Chief Minister has directed the large -scale transit authority to take immediate action to improve the deteriorating condition of the train system and to enhance the travel experience for passengers.

According to the official statement, the funds, which have been pending for more than two years, will now be released. The Treasury Department has been instructed to allocate more than Rs. 500 million for maintenance and maintenance efforts.

The Chief Minister called for preferring the safety of passengers and repairing the train water, cleaning and leakage system to ensure the safety of the passengers and provide reliable fashion.

A recent report by the Mass Transit Authority highlights major rehabilitation concerns, including water leakage at 742 points, water collection at 24 places, and drainage problems at 834 locations along with tracks and stations.

In addition, the wastewater waste problems were identified at 68 points, all of which will be resolved immediately.

According to sources, it is expected that the repair work will start soon, the purpose of restoring the operational performance of the Orange Line Metro train and improving daily travel for Lahore residents.
