Islamabad Traffic Police has introduced a new online e -leverar permit system, allowing citizens to get their driving permits from home.
According to officials, the move aims to provide maximum convenience and eliminate the need to visit traffic offices for the basic method of licensing citizens. Applicants can now apply through the official portal dlims.islamabadpolice.gov.pk.
Chief Traffic Officer Captain (R) Hamza Humayun said the service reflects the police’s efforts to modernize public services and make the licensing more accessible.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi recently extended the deadline for obtaining a valid driving license. Citizens now have to secure their license until October 7, 2025.
From October 8, a severe implementation will begin, in which drivers on the road face legal proceedings without any legitimate license, including arrest and vehicle assistance.
Authorities made it clear that the expansion was given to citizens to provide more time and facilities to complete the process. Special service desks have been set up across the city to adjust the increase in applicants.
