Traffic police issued 29,704 challan tickets this month, intensifying the unilateral violations to prevent road accidents, while in the last month, compared to 15,000, an increase of about 98 98 %.

According to Lahore Traffic Police, more than 10,000 challan were issued in Lahore alone during the campaign. Officials said strict action is being taken against the violators, with it, RS. 2,000 were imposed to run wrongly.

Deputy Inspector General Traffic Punjab, Mohammad Waqas Nazir, directed all Chief Traffic Officers (CTOs) and District Traffic Officers (DTOs) to take special measures and ensure teams are active in the field.

He emphasized that zero tolerance will be shown towards the unilateral rules that break it, which is a major cause of accidents. Police urged the citizens to follow the rules of traffic and avoid heavy fines to protect themselves.
