Sources told proposteani that the National Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has revealed 139 online platforms involved in illegal sale of sensitive data belonging to Pakistani nationals.

According to the investigating team, these platforms include website, mobile applications, and social media accounts. These results show that 18 mobile apps, 17 websites, and 2 YouTube channels were engaged in data trading. In addition, 75 Facebook accounts, 10 Instagram accounts, 12 telegram accounts, and 10 techotok accounts were identified as part of the network.

Investigators also discovered that citizens’ sensitive information was being sold by the WhatsApp group. Sources confirmed that following the team’s recommendations, the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has stopped all identified platforms.

Authorities say the next phase of the operation will include registration of formal cases and arrest of those responsible. After being detained, sisters will be questioned by sources of compromised data.

This large -scale exhibition of digital malfunction has raised concerns about cyberself and data protection in the country, which highlights the urgent need for rigorous regulatory monitoring.
