A total of 28 special technology zones have been notified across Pakistan, now an important project is underway for Islamabad.
In this regard, a meeting hero was a meeting at the Headquarters of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), headed by CDA Chairman and Islamabad Chief Commissioner Mohammad Ali Randhawa.
According to the briefing, 140 acres of land has been allocated in Islamabad for the establishment of a special technology zone. Officials said the zone will host a startup working in both national and international companies as well as in modern technology sectors, which will set up their offices and production facilities on the site.
The CDA was introduced a master plan for the proposed site, which includes a dedicated technology zone, high -tech production facilities, commercial areas and residential places. The move is designed to adjust a wide range of technology -powered companies and provide them with the infrastructure they need to run.
Officials also said that companies working within the zone would benefit from various privileges, including tax and duty exemption. During the meeting, it was agreed to set up a joint working group between CDA and ST ZA. The group will work to make the project financially viable and ensure its timely implementation.
CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that the financial aspects of the project should be thoroughly examined to develop a sustainable model. He said that the move would not only transform Islamabad into a technology center but also create important employment opportunities. Randhawa confirmed that the CDA would benefit from the technical skills and experience of STZA to ensure the success of the project.
The meeting was attended by Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) Executive Director Aamir Saleemi, and senior CDA officials.
