The company announced on Friday that the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has started production in Swatri Northwhel -1 from Swatri Block, District, Punjab, in the district of Punjab.
Well production capacity is 14 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) or gas and 430 barrels per day (BPD) or condensate. In order to ensure preliminary monetization, OGDCL has placed an 8 -inch, 14km flu line, which has been well mixed for gas processing, in which the processed gas is now injected into the SNGPL system.
As the operator of the Swagtri Explororation License, with a 100 % working interest, OGDCL said that starting production strengthens the commitment to train new discoveries faster.
The company added that the move would support national energy safety and would help in sustainable development.
