Authorities confirmed on Wednesday that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) shared the draft draft of economic and financial policies with the Pakistan Ministry of Finance.

Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb said that once the MEFP is signed, the staff level agreement will be signed between Pakistan and the IMF. He added that as part of the ongoing program, Pakistan has all the goals set by the IMF.

The current period of talks between Pakistan and the IMF will end today, the finance minister has termed the talks “on track”. Aurangzeb noted that there was a consensus on major goals with the IMF.

The Finance Minister gave these remarks during an informal conversation with the media, emphasizing that Pakistan is committed to fulfilling its OB Joyce under the IMF program.
