Under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PBEE) has completed Azad’s largest women’s software technology park (WSTP) at Women’s University in Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Pressure 5,000 square feet, this facility is specially manufactured for women in the technology sector, which offers a safe and modern workplace.
Rs 31 million has been invested to revive the project, which is the first women’s first technology park in the country. Developed in collaboration with the Special Communication Organization (SCO-AJK) and the Women’s University AJK, the park provides about 5,000 5000 square feet of the active office from ICT.
The facility is now ready to welcome IT and IT’s capable services (ITES) companies. For its soft launch marketing, PSEB will organize an open house session at Women’s University Bagh on September 23, 2025, which will invite interesting companies and stakeholders to find out the opportunities they offer.
The move has represented a milestone in the PSEB’s broader agenda to empower women, promote business and promote innovation in the IT sector. By creating Pakistan’s first women’s only technology park, the project aims to ensure equal opportunities for women professionals and businesses, to overcome the barriers to social and infrastructure to participate in the technology industry.
According to the PSEB, the WSTP is also set up with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), especially those who focus on gender equality and comprehensive economic growth. By eliminating the gender gap and cultivating a new series of skilled professionals, the park is expected to play a significant role in innovative development and employment opportunities in the region.
The Bagh, AJK selection as the WSTP site is in strategic Importance. The remote location of the region has historically gained limited access to resources and modern technology, which has forced many aspiring professionals to go to Larger cities for career opportunities. With the completion of this park, women in the garden will now have access to world -class facilities on their doorstep, which will reduce obstacles and promote local economic growth.
PBEE is inviting companies to look for an office location located in the garden cheap, safe and strategy to attend the open house session and present their interest (EOIS). This park is part of PSEB’s software expanding the country’s countrywide network, where more than 1.9 million square feet of IT office has already been closed for more than 350 firms.
