Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has termed his meeting with President Donald Trump in Washington DC as extremely constructive and fruitful to strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States.
Talking to Pakistani journalists based in the UK in London, he said the US president assured him to advance bilateral economic cooperation. He also praised President Trump’s important role in the Pakistan India Seas fire.
The Prime Minister said that the defense agreement signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia has not been directed against any country. He emphasized that the agreement reflects a long -standing desire by the two nations and highlights the deep ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which has been made over decades of sincerity and confidence. He said the agreement has now made this sustainable partnership formal.
The Prime Minister further explained that under the agreement, the attack on one country would be considered an attack on another. In such a case, the two countries will respond to any aggression through mutual consultation.
Regarding the Marca-Haq, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan taught India a lesson that it would remember for life.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan has achieved economic stability and efforts are being made to keep the country at a high development pace. He noted that although the recent floods have caused devastation, the government is determined to overcome this situation and move the country forward.
He emphasized that the government is making a concentrated request on the allocation of poverty, reduces unemployment, maintains investment, and utilizes the country’s capacity in key sectors, information technology, and mines and minerals and minerals.
Referring to the country’s innumerable natural resources, he said that friendly countries are ready to enhance Pakistan with full cooperation in utilizing them.
He also mentioned the maximum harmony between political and military leadership, saying he was on the same page. He said he consults with Field Marshal Asim Munir on all issues of national interest, including foreign policy.
The Prime Minister confirmed the government’s irrational commitment to end terrorism from the country. He said that security forces were fighting the terrorists and their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism would always be remembered.
Shahbaz Sharif added that he raised the voice of Kashmiri and Palestinian people in the UN.
