Punjab Offers Free University Education for Laborers Children
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared free higher education to children of the registered industrial and mines workers of the province. As the University of COMSATS maintains, the students will get an opportunity to study in the COMSATS University of Islamabad and its 7 sub-campuses, Abbottabad, Wah Cantt, Attock, Lahore, Sahiwal, and Vehari. Under this program all tuition fees will be paid by the government of Punjab. Punjab workers welfare fund has opened its application with directives of the chief minister. This is also a benefit that is enjoyed by children of disabled or deceased workers. The last day to apply different-campus wide: Islamabad (July 9), Lahore (July 17), Wah Cantt and Abbottabad (August 4), Vehari and Attock (August 11), and Sahiwal (August 15).
