Aga Khan University Marks Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day
Aga Khan University Celebrates National Pride and Salutes Faculty’s Service to Pakistan
KARACHI: On the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, Aga Khan University marked the national celebration with a heartfelt tribute to its faculty and staff who have played a vital role in the country’s progress. The event reflected the University’s long-standing mission to serve the nation through education, healthcare, and social development.
Since its inception, Aga Khan University has remained committed to uplifting communities across Pakistan. With the directions of its Chancellors, in 1991 the Government of Pakistan acknowledged the first recognition to the institution just after eight years of its establishment. Over the years, its faculty and staff have collectively earned 31 prestigious civil awards, honouring their exceptional service to the country.
The University’s contributions span a wide spectrum: pioneering efforts to combat malnutrition and stunting, advancing healthcare standards, improving educational opportunities, and responding to national crises. It could be earthquakes, floods or an entire pandemic and Aga Khan University was always on the frontline to conduct relief and recovery operations, standing by the people of Pakistan.
