Faisalabad Development Authority Targets Illegal Schemes
The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has launched a decisive operation against eight illegal housing schemes and informal settlements in the Dijkot area, demolishing unauthorized infrastructure to curb unapproved urban expansion.
According to an FDA spokesperson, enforcement teams identified four unapproved housing societies and four katchi abadies being developed in Chak No. 262-RB and Chak No. 263-RB. The schemes were operating under the names Gulshan-e-Habib, New Gulberg, Hidayat Town, and Ali Garden without fulfilling legal and departmental requirements.
Under the supervision of Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin and Estate Officer Aneeb Aslam Randhawa, the teams moved in swiftly to demolish roads, boundary walls, and other unauthorized structures linked to these illegal projects.
Officials warned that developers must secure proper departmental approval before initiating any construction activities, otherwise they may face further legal consequences, including criminal charges.
The FDA has also urged the public to verify the legal status of any housing project before purchasing plots or making investments to avoid financial losses and legal complications.
