Private Schools Oppose Summer Vacation Extension in Punjab

However, the association stressed that keeping schools closed for nearly three months could cause serious learning loss and delay board exam preparation. They noted that educational institutions in Islamabad reopened on August 4, while schools in other provinces are already back in session, making Punjab the only province to maintain such an extended break.

Calling the summer vacation extension in Punjab “disruptive and against the academic calendar,” the group urged the government to reconsider its decision. They suggested reopening schools under strict health and safety guidelines, or at least allowing board classes to resume in the first stage through a phased reopening plan.
